Score for your country with the new “Euro Cup for All” feature
European Football Championship – Hundreds of thousands of fans will be supporting their national team in every match – listening on their radios, in their cars, at home in front of the TV or at the bar round the corner. Many prefer the atmosphere of a public viewing surrounded by thousands of other fans. To celebrate the European Championship in Poland and Ukraine goalunited is giving fans another way to support their team.
With its “Euro Cup for All” competition goalunited is giving its players all over the world a unique opportunity to support their teams. From April 3 to June 1, all goalunited managers will be able to choose which of the 16 participating national teams they want to support. Fans can choose any of the teams, regardless of the server country – making “Euro Cup for All” a truly international event.
Things get serious starting June 8. Just as players like Miroslav Klose, Frank Ribéry, Xavi, or Wayne Rooney will be giving everything to win the European Cup, the same is expected from all the players in goalunited’s “Euro Cup for All”. All participating managers will be drawn against eight equally-skilful opponents whom they must defeat in the subsequent matches. For each goal, the goalunited coach receives a point for their selected national team, regardless of whether they win or lose. The winner of the goalunited “Euro Cup for All” is the team whose supporting teams collectively scored the most goals. A comprehensive algorithm runs in the background to ensure absolute equality of opportunity for all countries, regardless of the number of supports. All participants are rewarded with a
Talent-Booster-Pack. Fans of the winning team in the “Euro Cup for All” competition will also be awarded a prestigious cup for the trophy cabinet in their club house.

Remanum starts international server und wins "MMO of the year 2012"

The first truly commerce-based MMO creates a real multiplayer atmosphere
A few days ago Remanum has been awarded “Best Browser MMO” in the category “Best Tycoon Browser MMO”. This commerce-based MMO requires a great deal of skill as you take on the role of a merchant-politician during the era of ancient Rome. You produce and trade goods and engage in political machinations in pursuit of the rank of Emperor of Rome.
The first German gaming world, which will culminate with the coronation of a new Emperor in the next few weeks, impressed an expert jury as well as thousands of players. Those players can now look forward to the new highlights announced by Travian Games for fans of the comprehensive trade-based game. On March 8, 2012, the international English-language Open Beta Remanum world has been launched for fans of global trade. Bavaria’s biggest browser games company also started a German Remanum world in Open Beta.
But Remanum’s dedicated team of developers has not been resting on its laurels, as the unique trading simulation browser game has been further improved and expanded. All kinds of changes and additions have been made to both of the new Remanum worlds, making the game even more exciting and balanced, with a really gripping endgame.
Improvements to the user interface and greater game balance support the trading environment even better. The different levels of availability of raw materials in different cities create an incentive to trade with other players and cities. The new user interface also simplifies interactions with other traders. Increased range for ports makes it possible to get to scarce resources more quickly and easily. These gameplay-based changes enable the Remanum team to strengthen the multiplayer/community atmosphere in the cities, with all the fun of a living, breathing trading world.
As the saying goes, all roads lead to Rome. Travian Games also has a few changes up its sleeves for Remanum’s exciting endgame. In the last third of the game, Rome, capital of the empire, comes into play. The appearance of this metropolis brings the long-awaited achievements and the final rankings. When the endgame phase begins, you will soon be able to compare more than just rankings during the previous course of the game. When a game world reaches its final stages, the new rankings also make it easy to view the performance of every player exclusively for the end phase of the Remanum world.
According to Travian Games Head of Games Eckart Foos: “We have created a unique browser game with Remanum and we are, of course, very pleased that we have also been able to convince international players and experts of the class and quality of this game. The dynamic trading system, with its real-time calculation of supply and demand, makes commerce particularly exciting. With skilful politics, players can convert their wealth into power and glory in the competition to become Emperor of Rome. It is this combination of factors that gives Remanum its unique appeal.”
